They have low safety factors as they are manufactured in a controlled manner.
Material costs are lower owing to their high strength. In line with the use of less material, the structures become much lighter and, eventually, they are affected by lower shearing force. In other words, they are exposed to less earthquake load.
They are more ductile than other buildings, which means, they are more capable of absorbing the energy generated by earthquakes.
As the elements have already been manufactured in the worksites or ateliers, they quickly erected. In contrast to the other construction systems, erecting can continue despite all weather conditions, except for the extreme ones. Therefore, the construction period is relatively short. Thanks to pre-fabricated elements, long standing labor in the construction site is avoided.
When needed, reinforcement of the material is relatively easier and faster,
Material waste is lesser.
If the structure to be demounted, the process would be faster. The demounted elements can be reused and erected again with very few waste.
In systems with large spans, the large spans can be easily crossed with steel, where other materials do fail.
